Everyone welcome (even Lionel Messi)

We play regular 5-a-side (and occasionally larger-sided) football at the Armitage Centre in Fallowfield. The games are friendly and informal, with players from all over the world. All abilities, all ages, all fitness-levels are welcome and nobody keeps score! The games cost £3 for members and £4 for non-members (for a one hour game). The games are organised from our mailing list so sign up and join in!

How to book a place

Once a game has been set up, you’ll receive an email from the mailing list (usually on a Monday) to let you know there’s a game. You’ll then need to book your place and pay for it online. Just follow the links in the email. And that’s it!

On the day

On the day of the game, make your way to the Armitage Centre (map below) for the specified time. Please be on time or early – it can be very frustrating if we can’t start because someone is late.

The games are very informal and the only rule is – no sliding tackles! Apart from that – it’s just a kick-around with mates, for fun. Don’t take it too seriously!

NEXT GAME: in 2017!

Footie Volunteers

If you would be willing to act as the organiser for a game you can get to play that game yourself for free!

You would check the names of the other players against a list; sort them into two teams using yellow bibs (which we provide) and ensure there’s a ball to play with (we can provide those too)!

You can volunteer to run the games when and where they are organised by us or you can volunteer to run a game at your own preferred day and time. Get in touch with me via the contact form above saying you’d like to run a game every Wednesday evening at 6 pm (for example) and I will set those games up and organise the players via the website. We’d negotiate the details and you’d get to play for free.

Any questions please get in touch via the contact form above.

Int Soc Footie World Cup

Every year (usually just before Easter) we organise everyone into countries or regions and hold a ‘World Cup’ tournament. Previous winners include: Europe, Latin America and Cyprus. The winners get their name added to the Jose Luis Mendoza trophy (below) and get boasting rights for a year.

Int Soc Footie Hall of Fame

So far, out of the hundreds of footballers that have played with the International Society through the years, only a few have shown the dedication and staying power to make it on to the Hall Of Fame.

After 50 games you become a ‘Veteran’ and take your place on the Hall of Fame. 100 games will earn you the well-deserved title of ‘Legend’ (and a t-shirt) and 250 games will make you a ‘God’ like Pele, Maradona (and me). 500 games, if that ever happens, will make you a ‘Jedi Master’ and entitle you to free drinks for life from everyone else on the list (ha ha).
