International 16

International 16 is a diverse group of 16 students from 16 different countries. The group provides the inspiration and creativity for cultural evenings promoting international peace and friendship, celebrating cultural diversity and connecting with people around the world.

How to get involved

The 16 students change each year and are selected during the last two weeks of September through interviews at the International Society. The interviews are relaxed and informal and are carried out by previous members of the 16. If selected you will be part of a unique cultural and educational experience.

If you are interested in being part of the coming year’s 16 please come in to reception to book yourself in for an informal interview during the last week in September. The project generally requires students to be in Manchester from October to the following June (excluding holidays) and requires a commitment of one evening per week during term time and one weekend every fortnight. There is no cost if you are selected to be part of the group
