PLEASE NOTE:

Due to system maintenance, the International Society will not be taking online payments between 9:00 am on Tuesday 25th July 2017 and 9:00 am on Tuesday 1st August 2017 (one week). Over this period you will still be able to come in and register in our office. Apologies for any inconvenience.

Please note that there are two pick-up points for every International Society trip. The main pick-up point is the International Society building; the coaches park where Dover Street meets Oxford Road. This pick-up takes place at the time stated on the website and on your ticket. The coach also picks up from The University of Salford's Maxwell building. This pick-up takes place 30 minutes before the time stated on the website and on your ticket.

South Lake District visiting Bowness-on-Windermere

The Lake District is an area of outstanding natural beauty.  The day will be spent in Bowness-on-Windermere, a great base for walking, taking a boat ride or simply relaxing and taking in the amazing views of the Lake! You will have the day free to spend as you please.

Scarborough

Scarborough is a typical British seaside resort on the East Coast of England. It is a great place to soak up the holiday atmosphere and see a British Holiday resort at its best! There is plenty to see and do here whether it be to explore Scarborough castle, enjoy the amusement rides or take a stroll on the beach!

Chester and Cheshire Oaks

The first stop of the day will be Chester, a picturesque, historic town which has some beautiful attractions to visit such as the Cathedral and the Roman Walls.

The second stop of the day is Cheshire Oaks retail outlet village – here you can shop at a lot cheaper prices than city centre shops –with designer labels such as Diesel, Ted Baker, Armani and Burberry to name a few

Oxford (with guided tour)

Oxford is world famous for being a great University City. You will have the entire day here to spend at your leisure … either visiting the many University colleges or some of the city’s interesting museums and Art Galleries!

Liverpool

Perhaps most famous for being the home of the band, the Beatles and the city of culture in 2008, Liverpool is also Britain’s largest port standing on the banks of the River Mersey!  You will have the day free to spend as you please either exploring the many tourist attractions this city has to offer including the Albert Dock area with its museums and Art Galleries, the two Cathedrals and the places where the Beatles lived and played music!

North Wales visiting Caernarfon Castle and Portmeirion Village

North Wales is a beautiful area of contrasting landscapes. On this particular trip you will visit Caernarfon castle, a World Heritage site and possibly Wales’ most famous castle!  You will have time here to explore its wall walks and many impressive towers. From here you travel on to Portmeririon Village, an interesting Italianate village in a picturesque location. You will have several hours here to explore the village, the woodland gardens and the beach!

York

York is an attractive historic city in Yorkshire. You will have the entire day to spend at your leisure exploring the city at your own pace taking in the medieval Shambles, the York Minster and perhaps learning something about the city’s Viking history! An interesting day out for individuals and families alike.  There are plenty of attractions for children to enjoy … of special interest is the Jorvik Viking Centre where you can relive the sights and sounds of York in the Viking Age!

Lake District visiting Dove Cottage in Grasmere and Ambleside

The first stop of the day is the picturesque village of Grasmere, probably one of the most popular places due to the poet, William Wordsworth. You will have the opportunity to visit his home, Dove Cottage while you are here. The second stop of the day is Ambleside,  perfectly situated in the centre of the picturesque Lake District – a great base for walking, exploring Lake Windermere and shopping!

Blackpool

Blackpool is perhaps England’s most famous seaside resort.  If fun and excitement is your thing then this is the trip for you!   There is the Pleasure Beach to enjoy with its roller coaster rides for all you thrill seekers out there and other notable attractions such as Blackpool Tower!  If you prefer something more relaxing, then why not wander along the beach taking in the sea air and sample some traditional British fish and chips!

Yorkshire Dales visiting Ingleton Waterfalls Walk and White Scar Cave

The Yorkshire Dales is an area of beautiful countryside. The first stop of the day will be Ingleton for its spectacular Waterfalls Walk! From here we will then continue on to visit White Scar Caves, the largest show cave in the Dales and one of the biggest in the country! Here you will see underground waterfalls, stalactites and stalagmites and other natural limestone formations!
