Please note that there are two pick-up points for every International Society trip. The main pick-up point is the International Society building; the coaches park where Dover Street meets Oxford Road. This pick-up takes place at the time stated on the website and on your ticket. The coach also picks up from The University of Salford's Maxwell building. This pick-up takes place 30 minutes before the time stated on the website and on your ticket.

Liverpool

Perhaps most famous for being the home of the band, the Beatles and the city of culture in 2008, Liverpool is also Britain’s largest port standing on the banks of the River Mersey!  You will have the day free to spend as you please exploring the many tourist attractions this city has to offer including the Albert Dock area with its museums and Art Galleries, the two Cathedrals and the places where the Beatles lived and played music!

Yorkshire Dales visiting Ingleton Waterfalls Walk and White Scar Cave

The Yorkshire Dales is an area of beautiful countryside. The first stop of the day will be Ingleton for its spectacular Waterfalls Walk! From here we will then continue on to visit White Scar Caves, the largest show cave in the Dales and one of the biggest in the country! Here you will see underground waterfalls, stalactites and stalagmites and other natural limestone formations! PLEASE NOTE: Good walking clothes and shoes are needed for this trip.

The Lake District is an area of outstanding natural beauty.  The day will be spent in Bowness-on-Windermere, a great base for walking, taking a boat ride or simply relaxing and taking in the amazing views of the Lake! This trip includes a return boat ride from Bowness-on-Windermere to Ambleside.

Century Abbey, stroll around the harbour or visit the Captain Cook museum as well as enjoy the fresh air of a day at the seaside and maybe sample tasty fish and chips from the East coast of England.

The first stop of the day is Conwy Castle, a World Heritage site and an outstanding example of medieval military architecture. You will have time here to explore the castle and have a look around the town of Conwy itself … perhaps visit Britain’s smallest house too!  The afternoon will then be spent in the Victorian seaside resort of Llandudno where you can relax by the sea, climb the Great Orme and maybe sample the local fish and chips!

For the end to an enjoyable day at the seaside, we will travel back through the famous 122 years old illuminations that light the Golden Mile! A perfect day out for individuals and families alike!

Alton Towers – Halloween Scarefest!

East Lake District – Aira Force Waterfall Walk , Ullswater valley boat trip and Glenridding

The poet, William Wordsworth described the Ullswater Valley as the happiest combination of  beauty and grandeur. Start the day with a walk through beautiful countryside to Aira Force Waterfall . Then onto Pooley Bridge at the north end of Lake Ullswater to board the Ullswater steamer for a leisurely boat trip to Glenridding. Glenridding is the largest of the Ullswater villages in a beautiful setting.  You will have some time to spend here at the end of your day.
